TechGulf has begun a two-day digital conference with a call on the African Continent to focus on digitizing its economic development modules as a credible way to achieve inclusive economic growth.
The conference which ends today, April 21, 2022, is on the theme, “Digitizing Africa’s Economy: The case for blockchain and digital assets.”
In a remark, the Chief Executive officer of the Company, Franklin Asare indicated that although the digital economy is developing widely worldwide, only a few businesses and governments in Africa are leveraging the opportunities digitization presents.
He stressed that the key indicator of the future growth of businesses and nations is the manner in which they respectively adopt digital technologies.
“How businesses and nations adopt digital terminologies will be a determinant to their future growth and that’s why this year, we are looking at digitizing Africa’s economy the case for blockchain and digital assets.” He said.
Mr. Franklin Asare further noted that the many gaps in the promotion of digitization on the African continent have necessitated the forum to explore the digital economy ecosystem of Africa.
According to him, his outfit seeks to use the conference to lead conversations, recommend policies, and project start-ups that are making good progress in Africa’s digital space, among others.
He noted that “as a company, this, we are committed to developing digital infrastructure to accelerate Africa’s digital economy. TechGulf seeks to use this platform to lead conversations, contemplate projects, attract investments, propose policies, and project startups that are making strides in Africa’s economy. We are particularly interested in Africa’s start-ups to tell Africa’s story.”
TechGulf is a San Francisco and Accra-based company with a mandate to provide stable and secure data storage, and data management services all across Africa. The company develops and supports the needed digital infrastructure to accelerate the growth of Africa’s digital economy. Among its operations is the supporting of the digitization agenda of Ghana and Africa as a whole.
