With the release of iOS 26 Beta 2 on Monday, Apple has addressed significant issues with Liquid Glass, its new user interface design for iPhone, iPad, and other devices, first introduced at WWDC 2025.
The updated interface modernizes the operating system’s appearance, drawing inspiration from the optical properties of glass, such as light refraction and translucency.
However, early testers of iOS 26 were quick to highlight flaws in the new design during the initial beta phase. Users shared screenshots and criticized the Liquid Glass interface for its readability and usability issues.
One major concern was the Control Center, which became nearly unreadable due to its semi-transparent nature, making it difficult to distinguish buttons and sliders from the underlying Home Screen icons and widgets.

In the latest beta, Apple has improved the Control Center by adjusting the background blur to better obscure Home Screen content.
Notifications were also harder to read in the first beta, but they appear sharper in the update, though further improvements are still needed for visibility against brighter backgrounds.
These adjustments are not final, as iOS 26 is set for public release in the fall. They indicate that Apple is responding to user feedback and making necessary tweaks.
Additionally, Beta 2 includes an Accessibility section on App Store product pages, iCloud sync for the Journaling app on iPads, order tracking features in Apple Wallet, and a new Apple Music Radio widget, among other updates.
