The company’s generative AI offering is finally making its public debut four months after introducing Apple Intelligence. The platform will be included in the public releases of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 on an undisclosed date next week. According to the majority of rumours, those operating system updates will launch on Monday.
Users of the aforementioned operating systems running developer beta versions have had access to bits of Apple Intelligence. These consist of a typing input for the updated Siri experience, article summaries, integrated writing tools, and image cleanup.

The developer versions of iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2 were released by Apple on Wednesday. An additional set of Apple Intelligence upgrades, such as ChatGPT integration, Genmoji, Image Playground, Visual Intelligence, and Image Wand, will be included in these updates.
Apple attributes the restricted number of devices that can execute the generative AI features to hardware constraints. One of the following is necessary for Apple Intelligence: iPads with an A17 Pro chip (including the new iPad Mini), Macs with an M1 or later, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models.
Users must choose whether to use Apple Intelligence during setup or in Settings after downloading the software update. After that, they will be added to a “wait list.” The majority of requests ought to be processed in a few hours. Since some enquiries need to be processed off-device, the list is primarily meant to help Apple align its servers.
