NACOC would like to remind the public that sections 39-42 of the Narcotics Control Commission Act, 2020 (Act 1019) ban the cultivation, importation, exportation, illicit possession or control, and narcotic plant-related activities.
That the specific provision in the Narcotics Control Commission (Amendment) Act, 2023, related to cannabis with no more than 0.3% THC concentration on a dry weight basis for industrial purposes to obtain fiber or seed or for medical purposes, does not entail the legalization of cannabis.
