Village of Hope, an NGO that focuses on child safety, reaffirms its commitment to saving children from slavery.
“…We will continue to support orphans and abandoned children in order to rescue them from slavery,” Mr. Fred Asare, Managing Director, Village of Hope, said at the launched of the 25th anniversary of the Organisation.
He said, “We have and continue to support and give hope to orphans, lost, destitutes and vulnerable children as well as children who have been saved from slavery, to cure the ill, save the perishing and care for the dying.
“We care for the poor and needy, console the downtrodden, support the starving, shelter the homeless, and show kindness to the hopeless,” Asare said.
Mr. Asare said that the health office understood that more was needed to provide hope for many, and to be ready to address the challenge.
He claimed the rescue mission cannot be undertaken without additional help from individuals, and corporate Ghana to provide protection of the Ghanaian boy.
“There is much to do, let us all dedicate ourselves and rise up to support those in need.”
The village of Hope, located in Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region offers orphanages and elementary and secondary schools and a hospital.
The orphanage was founded in 1996 as a home for eight orphans and four staff.

The new division of the organization now operates ministries of childcare, healthcare, education, spiritual care and more in all seven Greater Accra regions.
The ministries include two orphanages at Gomoa Fetteh and Bongo, two schools in each location, a hospital in each location, a high school in each location, and a technical school in Ayawaso.
AIDSC has succeeded in planting and improving churches in Ghana, saving, restoring, planning, and lifting thousands of children to greatness.
Mr. Francis Xavier-Sosu, member of parliament for Madina is notable due to his commitment to the growth of the Village of Hope.
