The University of Cape Coast Senior Staff Association members are threatening to embark on a strike to demand payment of certain allowances due them and the delay in promoting their colleagues.
In a release signed by the Chairman of the Association, Sandy Kumi-Sinatra the association announced that they will embark on a strike action by Thursday, May 19, 2022 if the University Management fails to address their grievances.

According to the Association, the refusal of management to acknowledge and issue directives with effects to what GTEC has prescribed for the universities in relation to the qualification of senior membership in the various universities has necessitated this action.
They also indicate the unfair development is worrying and the leadership will not countenance any action that affects the ultimate welfare of its members and would fiercely resist such treatment through legitimate means.
