Although the comedian had previously received five Emmy nominations, it was his sixth nomination—obtained during his final season anchoring The Daily Show—that ultimately brought him the victory.
After hosting The Daily Show for seven years, Trevor Noah startled a lot of his fans in September 2022 when he revealed he was leaving the show.
His replacement is still being sought after.
In 2017, Trevor Noah won an additional Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series.
