Telecel Ghana has recently launched a major promotional campaign named the “Telecel More Money Promo” to enhance its customer engagement efforts.
Among the lucky winners is 19-year-old Christopher Gorkeh from the Western Region, who, visibly excited, shared his story and the significant impact the GHS 30,000 prize from Telecel Cash will have on his life.
“I’m overjoyed because this is the largest sum of money I’ve ever received,” he expressed. “I discovered the promo and dialed *500# to participate. I regularly bought airtime and bundles for my daily needs. On July 23, 2024, while I was taking my final Senior High School exam, a Telecel representative called my phone, held by my teacher to inform me that I had won GHS 30,000. At first, I couldn’t believe it.”
“They asked if I could travel to Brong Ahafo, but since I had never been there, I agreed to meet in Takoradi instead. I’m immensely grateful to Telecel; this money will support me to further my education and significantly help my family. My mother sells ‘aky3k3’ by the roadside, so this prize is a huge relief for us. I encourage everyone to use Telecel and join the Telecel More Money promo—you might win the grand prize!”
Mr. Kwame Baah, Executive Head for the Western and Central Regions at Telecel Ghana, highlighted the success of the campaign, noting that the company has acquired 70% shares amid its rebranding efforts.
Speaking in an interview with ATL FM NEWS at the Telecel More Money Promo reward edition at Takoradi Market Circle Yesterday, he explained that this promo features daily, weekly, and grand prizes designed to reward customers actively.
Mr. Baah elaborated on the promotional campaign’s structure, stating, “We’re rewarding our customers with daily, weekly, and grand prizes. Each day, 150 winners will receive GH¢100. Weekly prizes of GH¢30,000 will be awarded to two to four individuals, and a grand prize of GH¢1 million will be given at the end of the 90-day promotion.”
“To participate, customers can dial *500# or text ‘WIN’ to 500, or join through the Telecel Play app. For better chances of winning, customers should purchase credit of GH¢5 or more through Telecel Cash, credit transfer, or third-party vendors such as banks and fuel stations.”
He assured customers of a transparent and fair selection process, emphasizing that winners will be chosen through a random selection system in collaboration with the Ghana National Lotteries Authority.
“Winners will be notified via SMS for daily prizes and by phone for weekly prizes from the number 020-300-0004. Please disregard any requests for personal information, as these may be fraudulent,” he warned.
The promo he noted underscores Telecel Ghana’s commitment to rewarding both loyal and new customers, encouraging all to take advantage of Telecel’s promotional opportunities.
