Sunu Assurance Ghana Limited has donated 10 state-of-the-art computers to the Cape Coast Technical University to help facilitate teaching and learning.
The donation comes at the back of a request made by the Vice-Chancellor to equip the IT section of the University.
Speaking at a brief ceremony to hand over the computers to the University, Head of SME marketing and retail at SUNU Assurances Ghana Limited, Ebenezer Abeku Onumah said as a corporate entity, they have a project to help educational institutions and the request was in line with their mandate.
He noted that the relationship between the two entities has been a symbiotic one.
Receiving the Desktop Computers on behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Ing. Prof. Joshua Owusu-Sekyere expressed his gratitude to SUNU for the gesture adding that it will go a long way to stock the IT Centre to enhance teaching and learning.
He said, “since you have been able to do this for us even beyond the insurance staff, we will see what we can do which will be of mutual benefit to the two of us but I think we are very grateful for this kind gesture that you have shown to us.”
Speaking to ATL FM NEWS, the Head of SME marketing and retail at SUNU Assurances Ghana Limited, Ebenezer Abeku Onumah stressed that insurance goes beyond the company going for premiums for insurance and prays that no claims come up.
According to him, one of the key values of SUNU Assurances is to interact and build relationships as such they will continue to fulfill their cooperate social responsibility of education.
