With dancehall artist Shatta Wale headlining a concert that night to cap off the celebration, which is set for Wednesday, December 27 at the State House Forecourt in Accra, the TASTE of Ghana festival is quickly growing into one of the most anticipated events of December in Ghana.
In addition to the My Level hitmaker, other performers on the lineup include R2Bees, EL, Adina Fancy Gaddam, Kofi Jamal, Wendy Shay, Eno Barony, and Alapta One, who will all provide entertaining performances for the audience.
Six designers will showcase their creations during a Carols Night hosted by Joyful Way Incorporated and Samini, which takes place before the concert.
Not only that, but the occasion will provide Ghanaians, the diaspora, and visitors with a forum to network and investigate a range of business and investment prospects within the nation.
Beyond simply musical acts, attendees can look forward to a wide range of activities at the festival, such as art exhibits, dance performances, and a masquerade parade that will further enhance the event’s cultural diversity.
Local merchants will also be lining the area, offering a variety of traditional Ghanaian goods and foods.
With assistance from Beyond the Return Secretariat (BTR), the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Ministry of Information and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Taste of Ghana was launched in 2020 as the organization’s trademark Christmas activity.
The event’s theme this year is GH: The Africa Dream, and it will highlight the unique and genuine richness of Ghanaian history via food, music, art, and culture, among other things.

In keeping with ongoing initiatives to actively include the diaspora population in order to capitalize on its vast resource potential for Ghana’s development agenda and to encourage investments in the country through entertainment, travel, and culture.
This year’s festival, with the theme “GH: The Africa Dream,” intends to highlight the business opportunities that Ghanaian culture and products present, as well as to create an informal investor network session for the development of new partnerships. It also aims to showcase authentic made-in-Ghana products and Ghana’s rich culture in a more laid-back setting.
CEO of the GIPC Yofi Grant reaffirmed the goal of Taste of Ghana, saying it provides an opportunity for investors to network with possible local business partners, investigate investment opportunities, and honor the rich Ghanaian history.
“The goal of this event is to highlight Ghana’s greatest qualities—its music, culture, skilled artists, musicians, businesspeople, and economic potential. Thus, we cordially encourage you to come along and personally experience the Africa Dream.
The CEO of GTA, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, emphasized the event’s contribution to Ghanaian tourism by drawing both domestic and foreign tourists.
In order to support the tourist sector, he emphasized the significance of promoting Ghana’s many attractions, including as its breathtaking landscapes, important historical landmarks, and thriving arts scene. Mr. Agyeman went on to say that the occasion is in line with the government’s goal of making Ghana a premier travel destination in Africa.
Mr. Charles Opoku-Mensah, Head of PR and Communications at GIPC, stated in an interview with Graphic Showbiz that while admittance is free, attendees must call 71111*20# to purchase tickets.
“This is to gather information so we can further interact with customers. Last year, 9,000 people attended the festival; as of right now, 15,000 have purchased tickets, and we’re still counting.
“The festival has been very rewarding and a good strategy to court investors. We are using soft power to appeal to their emotions and through Taste of Ghana, we have landed investment in areas including real estate, fashion, commercial farming among others”, he added.
