Sheikha Mahra, the daughter of the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the current ruler of Dubai, filed for divorce from her husband on Instagram.
The one-year marriage of Princess Sheikha Mahra bint Mihammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum came to an end, according to a post on her verified Instagram account.
Since then, her verified account has liked numerous comments that back up the article.
“Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce,” the post reads. “I divorce you, I divorce you, I Divorce you. Take Care.On Tuesday, July 16, she posted on her verified Instagram page, saying, “Your Ex-Wife.”
The tweet by Princess Sheikha Mahra appears to adhere to the Islamic custom of “triple talaq,” which permits a man to file for divorce from his wife by writing or uttering the Arabic term for “divorce” three times.

Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, Mahra’s spouse, has not yet responded to the message in public.
Mahra was married in April 2023 to her spouse. The couple revealed they were expecting their first child five months after getting married.
Sheikha Mahra captioned a snapshot of her ultrasound with her husband’s name, “Just the three of us,” and he reshared it. She shared several pictures of herself, her spouse, and their new baby online in May.
The princess removed every picture of her hubby from her Instagram feed as of July 18.
