A 22-year-old phone repairer was sentenced to 14 years in prison for posting intimate photographs of a Lebanese lady on social media.
Solomon Doga pled guilty before the Adentan Circuit Court to accusations of sexual extortion and non-consensual distribution of personal pictures.
Doga beseeched the Court for pardon.
On the basis of his guilty plea, the court ruled by Mrs. Sedinam Awo Balokah convicted Doga of sexual extortion and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
The court also condemned Doga to two years in prison on the accusation of disseminating personal pictures without consent.
The consecutive nature of the sentences means that he will spend 14 years in jail.

Chief Inspector of Police Lanyo said that the accused lives at Spintex, Accra.
On June 9, this year, the complainant’s driver delivered her phone to Doga to be unlocked, according to the prosecution.
Prosecutor asserts that while unlocking the phone, Doga accessed the complainant’s phone memory and saw her nude photos.
It was alleged that Doga sent the images to the complainant and then requested payment from her.
According to the prosecution, the accuser then blocked Doga on her phone.
According to the report, Doga then posted the complainant’s nude photos on social media platforms like Facebook and Messenger.
According to the prosecution, a few minutes after Doga uploaded the photos on Facebook, others, including her coworkers, began phoning her to inform her that the photos had been widely distributed.
Others began sending love emojis as well.
The prosecution said that the complaint contacted an IT professional, leading to the arrest of the defendant.
In his caution statement, Doga, according to the Prosecutor, accepted his guilt and pleaded for forgiveness.
