On Thursday, October 19, supporters of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) witnessed an incredible show that included three thrilling rounds featuring nine different schools.
After these intense competitions, three schools prevailed, guaranteeing their spots in the eagerly awaited NSMQ 2023 finals.
Achimota School has won twice, Presbyterian Boys SHS has won seven times, and Opoku Ware has also won twice.
Strong opponents Wesley Girls and St. Louis SHS presented Achimota School with a challenging test during the Thursday morning competition.
Achimota School won the previous round with a commanding 41 points, building up a significant 10-point lead.

Opoku Ware, on the other side, battled Prempeh College and Pope John Seminary in Kumasi, experiencing their most difficult struggle since the competition’s beginning.
In a historic triumph, they outscored their Kumasi opponents for the first time, winning with 38 points, two more than their opponents.
The last semi-final match saw a tense battle between Presec Legon, Mfantsipim School, and Keta SHS.
Presec emerged as the eventual victor in a rigorous battle of wits, earning their position in the grand finals on Tuesday, October 31.
As the tension rises, everyone’s thoughts turns to the subject of who will finally triumph.
