The Ministry of Health has addressed concerns raised by Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, regarding the service contract with Service Ghana Auto Group Limited.
The Ministry provided a detailed clarification on the matter, responding to various media reports that a $34.9 million procurement deal for ambulance spare parts was a scheme orchestrated by former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, former Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, and a private company to defraud the state.
In response to these allegations, the Ministry of Health issued a statement on July 25, clarifying that the contract in question was originally signed on September 10, 2020, by the now-defunct Ministry of Special Development Initiatives.
The contract was intended for the maintenance of 307 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 315 CDI ambulances.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, reflected in various media reports, regarding the service contract between the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives and Service Ghana Auto Group Limited.
