Five robbery suspects were killed in a gunfight with police.
Six additional individuals have also been apprehended, according to a Ghana Police Service report.
The arrest is part of a nationwide campaign of exceptional anti-robbery intelligence-led police operations.
Currently, the Service is carrying out similar activities in the Northern and Western Regions.
Following several violent incidents in various places, security has lately been increased in some sections of the country.
A passenger recently set fire to a navy officer who served as a ride-hailing app driver with Bolt.
Unfortunately, the officer who was sent to the 37-military hospital did not survive owing to the severity of his injuries.
Other violent crimes have caused police officers to shoot robbers engaged in these occurrences in certain cases.
