The spokesperson for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Fiifi Boafo, has lauded the qualifications of the NPP’s running mate, highlighting his potential to significantly bolster the party’s “Break the 8” campaign.
Mr. Boafo underscored Dr. Prempeh’s strong ties to key constituencies within the NPP, particularly in the Ashanti region, where Dr. Prempeh, a member of the royal household, commands substantial support.
He also pointed to Dr. Prempeh’s grassroots influence in his Manhyia South Constituency and his appeal among intellectuals and young party members.
Speaking on ATL FM’s Biribi Soronko, Mr. Boafo described Dr. Prempeh as “dedicated, hardworking, selfless, knowledgeable, kind, and a generational thinker,” echoing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s praise.
“Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is someone who gives his all and dedicates his time and energy to ensure that every task assigned to him is diligently handled for the benefit of all. He is selfless, caring, loving, and kind. When I say he is kind, it means he not only generously shares his resources but also imparts knowledge and ideas to empower others,” he emphasized.
When queried about Dr. Prempeh’s specific contributions to the party, Boafo highlighted his achievements and stressed his dedication to advancing the NPP’s agenda and benefiting all Ghanaians.
“This is the caliber of person we are dealing with. He brings to the table experience, knowledge, and, most importantly, results. He also fosters goodwill and energizes our party’s grassroots base,” Mr. Boafo affirmed.
“He played a pivotal role in the passage of legislation ensuring that the Western Region receives a fair share of resources for development following natural resource extraction, preventing the region from being left empty-handed,” he added.
