The Provost of the College of Humanities and Legal Studies at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Professor Kwame Osei Kwarteng has urged members of the Association of Economic Students (AES) to work together to ensure the economic well-being of Ghana.
He says considering the fact that the country’s economy is faced with challenges, the country needs men and women who are ready to help address the problems facing the economy.
Professor Osei Kwarteng was speaking at a programme dubbed Official Launching and Symposium held by the UCC Association of Economic Students in collaboration with the School of Economics at the University.
The programme was in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the UCC Association of Economic Students.
The event was on the theme “Reducing Poverty through Macroeconomic Stability and Inclusive Development: The effective role of the 21st Century Economist.
In his address, Professor Kwarteng indicated that it is relevant to have an association like the Association of Economic Students in the university because to him, issues of economics span across the daily activities of humans, making everyone an economist.
