The problem that previous and current administrations have worked diligently to eliminate has made its way onto Twitter’s trend list for today, April 12.
“Dumsor,” which translates to “intermittent power supply,” is the dreadful occurrence that has sparked outrage on social media.
According to users, what the current administration has categorically denied is now present. Some reported they had been in the dark for hours, while others said they had slept in the dark for days.
Users feel that the maintenance problem is only a cover-up for the obvious, i.e. “dumsor is back.”
Adabraka, New Bortianor, and Frafraha were among the areas affected.
Meanwhile, users have urged the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to come clean and allow residents to arrange their activities in order to assist reduce the consequences of frequent power outages.
“There is no way that this country will return to the dark days of ‘dumsor,'” according to the Ministry of Energy.
This is due to the fact that the country is not currently confronting electrical generation issues.
