Prince Adu, also known as Dracula, a notorious armed robber, who was sentenced to 63 years in prison by the Ho Circuit Court for three counts of robbery, was sentenced to 90 years in prison when the court sentenced him to another 27 years in hard labor for a related crime.
Adu will be sentenced simultaneously to his latest charge for the original convictions.
The victim submitted to the court presided over by Mr Felix Datsomor, Chief Inspector Stephen Atidzon, that the complainant (name withheld) is a business owner and resident of New Housing, a suburb of Ho.
The complainant who was returning to her house from Ho Barracks stopped a motorcycle which was being driven by the notorious armed robber and his accomplice, now a juvenile in a borstal home on May 29, 2020, at around 2200 hours.
The prosecution said that after hearing where the destination of the victim was, the perpetrator asked her to get on board informing her that they would soon alight.
The complainant chose to alight at Donorkordzi cemetery after seeing the vehicle going into the jungle, according to Chief Inspector Atidzon.
Prosecution said the prisoner also alighted immediately with the complainant and snatched her purse containing a sum of Gh¢100.00 and her itel cell phone priced at Gh¢500.00.
He said the juvenile then took a two edged sharp machete from his bag and gave it to the convict and they began attacking the complainant.

Prosecution said the rider then attempted to intervene and begged on behalf of the victim but the convict ordered him to walk away from the scene immediately, which he did, leaving the victim behind.
Chief Inspector Atidzon said the victim in an effort to defend herself against the attack grasped the edge of the machete, and the convict pulled it, resulting in a deep cut in her hand.
Prosecution said the convict then ordered the victim to remove her dress and he forcefully had sex with her after which he asked the victim to give him an additional money.
He said that after having sexual relations with the plaintiff, the convict forced her to sit on one of the tombs as they left, threatening to kill her if she refused.
According to the prosecution, after the defendant and his accomplice fled, the victim dashed to the Godokpui Police checkpoint and reported the incident to the on-duty officers, who also told the patrol squad.
The juvenile was apprehended while riding a motorcycle, but the convict managed to flee, according to the prosecution.
According to the prosecution, the convict was arrested on February 18, this year, in a separate case, was re-arrested on February 27, and pleaded guilty to the crime in his investigation statement, resulting in the harsher sentence.
