Board Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants-Ghana (CIAMC-Ghana), Nana Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensiam VI has urged the newly inducted members of CIAMC-Ghana to strive for professional competence and excellence with ethical discipline in the field of consultancy.
He maintained that the inductees should continue to add value to themselves in their line of duty and develop the potential to respond swiftly to the rapidly changing issues of the world through innovation.
Nana Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensiam VI was speaking at the 22nd Graduation and Induction ceremony of 389 newly-trained management consultants and administrators into CIAMC-Ghana membership
Of these newly-inducted members, 56 were Chartered Professional Administrator and Chartered Management Consultant with full membership; 22 were Chartered Management Consultant with full membership and 4 satisfied the requirements to be Chartered Professional Administrator with full membership.
The rest are 49 Chartered Management Consultants; 23 graduands with full membership only while 219 became Chartered Professional Administrators with associate membership and 16 Graduate Members.
The ceremony was held on the theme: Reshaping Education: Aligning Assessment with Curriculum and Delivery and the Role of Professionals in Reshaping the Process of Education.
Nana Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensiam VI, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Industrial and Engineering Services Limited however reiterated that the management of CIAMC may have the licence of practicing members suspended or completely debarred should they be found guilty of any misconduct.
“Ghana needs administrators and consultants of knowledge and integrity. We believe that a nation’s future depends on these human resources. Thus, as a professional body, a practitioner found guilty by the board of Misconduct may be suspended from practice or completely debarred,” he said.
On her part, the Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Prof. Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson congratulated CIAMC-Ghana and its graduates, encouraging them to ensure professionalism, standardization and quality service.
She also charged the CIAMC to continue the good work being done by training professional administrators and management consultants and also implored CIAMS to find innovative ways to get more members.
Prof Akosua Dickson added that a lot is expected of the trainees as such they ought to add to their skills to make them unique in their field of work.
She emphasized the need for the graduates to give feedback to the institute which will help to develop or enhance programmes that will help other professionals.
The CIAMC offers programmes which are comprised of face-to-face sessions and online with 11 programme centres where lectures are held across the country.
