The Challenged Children Foundation International (CCFI) in Cape Coast has officially introduced the CCFI to the Omanhene of Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarima Nana Kwesi Atta II.
The foundation paid a courtesy call to the Omanhene of Oguaa Traditional Area, at the Emintsimadze Palace to officially introduce the foundation to him and inform him about the good works they are embarking on with children living with special needs within the Cape Coast Metropolis.
CCFI focuses on seeing challenged children in the central region of Ghana being properly taken care of to do well in life and fulfil their God-given purpose.
They aim to empower mothers with challenged children with the needed knowledge, support and means of taking proper care of their challenged children; and thereby help them to realize their full potential.
Commending the foundation’s work, the Omanhene in an interview with ATL FM NEWS stressed the importance of inclusivity and encouraged parents to seek guidance from CCFI on caring for their challenged children.
“…here is an NGO that takes care of all these children, nurtures them, and teaches them to be part of society. So, to parents who have such children, please don’t abandon them. Seek advice,” he advised.
The co-founder of the Challenged Children Foundation, Mr. Peter Dwamena Adom was overjoyed with the warm reception the team received from the Omanhene
He expressed hope that with the foundation having a bright future, the Omanhene and his sub-chiefs will render maximum support to the foundation to enable it to achieve its purpose.
He also encouraged Ghanaians, especially Cape Coast residents, businesses, and institutions to collaborate and assist CCFI in tackling this challenge with their support.
“Any support offered will be welcomed as we strive for success in establishing a prosperous foundation in the Central Region.”
