The Cape Coast District Court 2, Presided over by Her Worship Bernice Mensimah Ackon has adjourned the hearing of the murder of the level 300 Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) student who was allegedly killed for ritual purposes to June 7, 2022.
Earlier in court today, Assistant Superintendent Police (ASP) Daniel Mensah Gadzo prayed to the court that his outfit is still conducting investigations to gather evidence on the matter, hence, Her Worship Ackon granted the request to schedule the hearing to another day.
Following the death of the deceased, the deceased’s boyfriend, Nicholas Ato Bronk Taylor was arrested and remanded into Police custody.

According to police investigations, Taylor rented a room in a hostel for the deceased and was living with her at the time of the incident.
Also, the suspect failed to report the disappearance of the deceased from the hostel even after he heard about her death.
It will be recalled that, the deceased’s lifeless body was discovered at Ola estate at 9pm on May 13, 2022 with her private part cut out.
Subsequently, the body of the deceased was deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital mortuary pending further investigations.
