The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has formally announced the passing of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, during a meeting of the Asanteman Council at the Manhyia Palace, on Monday August 11, 2025.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III passed away on August 7, 2025.
Born to Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II and Opanin Kofi Fofie, she was the eldest daughter of the late Asantehemaa and the elder sister of the current Asantehene, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II.
Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III succeeded Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II after passing in 2017. She ascended the Asantehemaa stool on February 6, 2017.
At the time of her enstoolment in 2017, she was 83 years old.
In line with Asante tradition, a one-week traditional rite will be observed at the Manhyia Palace on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
