In 2024, Apple showcased an impressive demo of a revamped Siri designed to interact with various apps for information retrieval. However, this new version has yet to be launched, as the company seems to be facing challenges in its development.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is currently testing a version of Siri capable of executing tasks across multiple apps through voice commands. The company intends to release an updated version of App Intents, its framework that allows developers to enable user access to app features through systems like search and Shortcuts.
If successful, this new Siri and App Intents integration would allow users to ask Siri to search for a photo, edit it, and send it, post comments on social media, or log into services.

The feature is reportedly being tested with apps such as Uber, AllTrails, Threads, Temu, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Bloomberg previously indicated that Apple plans to launch the revamped Siri by spring 2026.
