The president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akuffo Addo has called on the Christian council and all religious bodies to pray for the nation.
The President made the call, When Right Rev. Dr. Hilliad Della Dogbe, the new Chairman of the Christian Council, visited him at the Jubilee House.
The President likewise requested that the Council pray for the people’s understanding, as not every person chosen to lead them is a thief.
He said this prayer is required to increase the hope of the people in their leaders.
The President referred to the perception of every leader being a thief, as regrettable and emphasized that some leaders might have done better in the private sector.
President Akufo-Addo said the individuals should have faith in the anti-corruption institutions and agencies keeping the government in check.
Right Rev. Dogbe on his part assured of the Christian community’s readiness to pray for the country’s protection and guidance.
