A popular Nigerian evangelist, who has been identified on social media as Victor Edet has criticised Nigerian music superstar, Chidinma Ekile for dressing as a “worldly” even though according to the evangelist, she claims to have to become born again but still wears makeup.
The month of May became a month where many fans of the “fallen in love” hitmaker heard her confirm her decision to quit secular music and do only gospel songs, because she admitted that the world was coming to and end, hence it was prudent she lives as a daughter of God and enter full time gospel ministry.
Although Chidinma has released some gospel songs that are making waves in Nigeria, the evangelist is still of the opinion that she is living a worldly life, kind courtesy of how she adorns herself with makeup, double piercings and her dressing in general.

The evangelist, however, took to his Facebook page and heavily criticised the “Ololufe” hitmaker for still being in her worldly clothes because according to him, a born again Christian who claims to have left the world behind must dress decently and not be appearing in worldly clothes, heavy makeup, have double piercings, eyelashes rings or even wear trousers.
“When a person becomes a born again everything about the person changes both inwardly and outwardly. The way he or she walks, dresses will change automatically” he posted.
In that same post on facebook, he posted some pictures of the singer comparing her looks both before and after she converted into a full gospel musician. The singer who released her first video of her gospel song, “Jehovah overdo” seemed not to have transformed much using her outfit as a yardstick.
As a result, he went on to write again this time throwing direct shades at her.
“This girl, Chidinma, claims to be born-again, but she still Dresses almost the same way she used to dress while in the World. The way you dress in the World should not be the same way you should dress in the Lord. There must be a change if you have truly encountered the Lord. You can not be born-again and still wear make-up, earrings, eyelash, false Nails, weave-on, attachment, rings and Trouser. Those things are from Satan, and it is of the World.”
Chidinma is currently enjoying a streak of hit songs with her new genre of music amidst all these brouhaha.
