Actor Delove Augustt, better known by his stage name Odenkyem, is from Ghana and has qualified for the African Monologue Challenge final, which will be held in Uganda.
Odenkyem is making notable progress in his early acting career. He is most known for his part in the critically acclaimed Ghanaian TV series “You Only Live Once” (YOLO) in seasons five and six. He has been selected to be one of the ten men on the MK Casting-organized African Monologue Challenge shortlist.
Some of Africa’s most gifted young actors and actresses come together for the challenge, which has as its theme “Uniting Africa through its Creative Economy,” to demonstrate their skills.
More than 2000 monologues were submitted at the start of the competition. Only fifty contestants were chosen from this pool, one of whom was the young acting prodigy from Ghana.
The 50 finalists were judged by a group of experienced casting directors and filmmakers from America, Europe, and Africa every two weeks as they showcased their abilities through a variety of monologues.

As the only Ghanaian in the top 10, Odenkyem hopes to win the title and bring honor to his native country.
