The Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis Xavier Sosu, is scheduled to appear in Accra’s Kaneshie District Court today, Tuesday, to face allegations of highway obstruction and causing damage to public property.
The MP, Mr. Sosu, was out of the country on Parliamentary business and was unable to appear in court last week, despite a series of unsuccessful police arrest efforts.
His attempted arrests generated a political uproar about his immunity as a Member of Parliament.
According to sources, the Madina MP has returned to the country and will be appearing in court today.
