Ghanaian musician and entertainment expert Kingsley Ofori Appiah, better known by his stage as Kojo Kinn, has advised other musicians to concentrate on writing songs that make their intended message clear to listeners.
During an interview with Graphic Showbiz’s X Dialogue Series, the performer underscored the significance of meaningful lyrics that strike a chord with viewers.

According to him, it’s a typical practice for listeners to interpret meanings that might not be in line with the artist’s goals.
“When we are writing songs, let us make sure there is clarity. Our listeners shouldn’t be struggling to make meaning out of it. It should easily come out for them.”
In order to provide their audience with a more varied listening experience, he pushed musicians to expand their songwriting repertoire and write songs that suit a variety of moods and situations.
“Open your catalogue and write songs that can fit into every emotion so that we won’t be one-sided. People consume songs differently “When people want to inspire or motivate themselves, they know what kind of song to play. Give them options to explore. If I am sipping some wine and want to party, you don’t expect me to listen to a funeral.”
