Twenty-one new cases of COVID-19 with one death has occurred in Western North Region of Ghana. The confirmed cases in the Western North Region have risen from 791 to 812.
In the Region, the cases confirmed were also transferred from 791 to 812.
Of the confirmed cases, 769 were completely recovered and six deaths discharged.
In the Western North Region, active cases were reduced from 57 to 37.
In active cases of 24, followed by 7 cases of Bibiani – Anwhiaso -Bekwai, the municipality of Sefwi-Wiawso still leads.
There are three active cases in Bia West District, Bia East two and Aowin Municipal one active.
The district of Akontombra continues to have no case since in March last year, Ghana registered its first COVID-19 case.
This was stated by Dr. Marion Okoh-Owusu, Western North Regional Health Services Director and copied by the Ghana News Agency in a statement issued by the Regional Public Health and Emergency Management Commission (PHEMC).

The statement invited residents to observe physical distance, to use soap under running water regularly, to wear nose masks especially when out and to use a hand sanitizer based on alcohol to contain and manage the spread of the virus.
It further asked residents to be COVID-19 police and ensure that everybody adhered to all the COVID-19 safety protocols, so as to curb the spread of the virus.
