The Ministry of the Interior has declared Wednesday, 28th June 2023 as a statutory public holiday.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery.
The holiday is to mark the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha which in Islam is observed annually on the
As such the public is informed to observe the day accordingly.
Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice is the second and the largest of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam; Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha.
Eid is a day many Muslims go for special prayers at their local mosque and have a day of celebrations with family and friends.
