The General Manager in charge of Agribusiness at Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Kwame Asiedu Attrams says the bank will continue to find innovative ways that would contribute to better yields and better access to finance farmers in the coming year.
He said the bank has products in the offing that will speak to specific concerns of farmers in addressing their critical needs, thereby, enabling them to access good concessionary priced funding to expand their businesses and achieve aims they have set for themselves.
“In the New Year, what is critical to farmers I believe is their ability to access funds to help expand their businesses.” He said
Kwame Asiedu Attrams made this revelation to the media at a special Welcome Cocktail Party organized by the ADB in honor of the 2021 National Best Farmers at the Residency of the Central Regional Minister in Cape Coast on Monday.
To him, the farmers and fisherfolks have some basic skills and knowledge which if assisted basically by granting them access to financing, will enable them also contribute significantly to the needs of Ghanaians.
He believes Ghana as a country can cut down on the importation of products if the farmers and fisherfolks are given the needed funds to help in their businesses.
“We continue to think through what in the New Year, we ourselves can also help make available with most of the restrictions and limitations reduced”.

She notes that as the government is making efforts to address their challenges, the Central regional coordinating council is putting together the regional development strategy that will touch on some thematic areas to feature Agriculture.
