Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed the club paid GHC10,700 per match for the use of the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
Kotoko had to endure playing the entire season away from their traditional home grounds, the Baba Yara Stadium due to renovations work ongoing at the said venue.
Kotoko initially began the season with their home ground as the Accra Sports Stadium before switching to the Obuasi Len Clay for the second round.
CEO of the club Nana Yaw Amponsah had earlier stated the club’s failure to win the league was down to the fact that they played the entire season away from their traditional home ground.

He also has revealed the club bore a cost of GHC10,000 plus for each match they played at the Obuasi Len Clay.
“We were successful in the just-ended season but that wasn’t our target. The target was to at least win the league title,” said Amponsah.
“We had better away results than Hearts of Oak but our home performance wasn’t the best. Playing our games in Accra and Obuasi didn’t help us.”
He added; “We paid GH¢ 10,700 per each home game at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.”
