Samuel Abdulai Jinapor, Minister of Lands and Natural Resources believes the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) can win the 2024 election provided the party stays unified before and after internal elections.
That, he believes, is the only way to accomplish the goal.
The NPP will begin the process of choosing new officials from the constituency to the national level beginning next year.
Mr. Jinapor, who is also the MP for Damongo in the Savannah Region, believes that if everyone gets involved, the party would be able to “break the 8” and remain in power in 2024.
He emphasized that for this dream and goal to be realized, every member of the party must be on board.
He went on to say that in order to win the next elections, they (party members) must fight for every political space in the nation.
Samuel Jinapor was speaking in Daboya during the NPP’s Savannah Regional Delegates Conference.
“They say we have to “break the 8”, but I say we can’t “break the 8″ with just slogans, but with unity and oneness of purpose and also fighting hard and fighting for every political space in the country.”
Mr. Jinapor has previously lauded President Akufo-Addo’s accomplishments in the Savannah Region.
He maintained that President Akufo-Addo had done more for the Savannah Region than any other president.
He said that the creation of the area, which included the supply of water, road projects, and health facilities, placed Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP ahead of previous governments.
“No president and no party has done more for the Savannah Region than his Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The record and the evidence speak for themselves.”
“He created the Savannah Region, brought water, tarring our roads, intervening in agriculture, intervening in education, intervening in healthcare, about to bring a regional hospital in Damongo and 2 district hospitals to the Savannah Region.”
