The Omanhene of Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II has reiterated his Council’s commitment to support businesses within the Cape Coast Metropolis in other to find solutions to problems hindering their success.
He said to provide the needed support there must be a constant engagement between the traditional council and the corporate community to discuss these problems.
Speaking at the third series of his meetings with identifiable Businesses in Cape Coast, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II maintained that “we want the businesses in Cape Coast to thrive and for that to happen we want to know what their shortfalls are and what we can do to help them in growing their businesses. That is the main reason behind the meeting.”
Some participants who spoke to ATLFMNEWS after meeting urged the traditional council to continue with this initiative since it will help promote and sustain the growth of businesses in Cape Coast.
According to a participant from the health sector, “it is a good program and I hope it will be organized at another time in the future.”
“The programme has been wonderful and I hope Osabarima Kwesi Atta II and his able Council will take the concerns we have raised here into consideration,” a member of the business community also said.
Another participant representing one of the identifiable businesses in Cape Coast described the event as fruitful indicating that, “I was expecting more of these things and so I am very privileged to be part of it. I believe this will go a long way to improve Cape Coast and promote the growth of its businesses as well as have a lot of people come in to do business.”
The General Manager of Ridge Royal Hotel, Samuel Obiri Aduama on his part, urged the corporate community to always come on board to help promote big events that take place in the Metropolis. He said it is one of the ways they can sell their products to the public and generate more income.
He also stressed the need for all inhabitants to help maintain the status of Cape Coast as one of the tourists’ hubs in Ghana adding that “we should be ready to learn a little bit of our history and tell them when they come. We should also make it a point to keep our beaches as well as our gutters clean. When they come and stay it will boost our businesses.”
