A washing bay attendant was sentenced to ten years in jail by the Nkawie Circuit Court for stealing at North Patase, in Kumasi.
Kwasi Sarfo is accused of breaking into the Palmer International School in North Patase and stealing five iron rods and a CCT camera worth GHC1,000.00 from the school’s back office.
Mr Johnson Abbey presided over the trial, and he (the accused )pled guilty to the charge and was found guilty in his own plea.
The plaintiff, according to Police Inspector Jonas Newlove Agyei, was the School’s Superintendent.

He claimed that the complainant discovered the theft of the items on February 22 of this year, and after viewing the CCT cameras mounted in the School, Sarfo, the washing bay attendant was spotted in the footages taking away the items.
According to the prosecutor, on February 24, this year, the complainant found Sarfo at Kwadaso and intercepted and took him to the Sofoline police station with the assistance of some individuals.
Sarfo confessed the crime during questioning, according to Inspector Agyei, and he was convicted and taken before the judge.
