Mr. Robert Oteiku Duncan, Chairman of the Regional Football Association, along with Noble Eugene, a Division One GFA executive member, visited the Vipers accident victims today at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
The tragic incident involving the Cape Coast-based football club, Venomous Vipers, occurred on July 8, 2023, in Kwanselem, a town after Assin Praso in the Central Region.
The club was on their way to play against King Faisel, their opponents in the Access Bank Division One League when the accident transpired.

As a result, ten players sustained severe injuries and were subsequently admitted to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital in the Central Region of Ghana. Mr. Duncan seized the occasion to express gratitude to God for preserving their lives and pledged to take full responsibility for their recovery.
He also motivated the team and others to maintain rigorous training for their upcoming tournament. Fortunately, the President of the Ghana Football Association has granted them a two-week break, suspending their scheduled matches, to allow them to return to full strength.
