Veteran highlife musician, Kwadwo Akwaboah Senior has passed on.
His son, the Ghanaian male artiste, Akwaboah Junior who confirmed the news of his passing on his social media handles Tuesday afternoon wrote “RIP Daddy”.
The cause of his death is not readily known however, friends and sympathizers of the junior musician (Akwaboah Jnr) have already been sending their condolences since the news broke.

Kwadwo Akwaboah popularly known as Akwaboah Senior was a veteran highlife musician and record producer who was known for his song “Awerekyekyere”.
His “Awerekyekyere” got the attention of many and the hit song is also loved by many now due to the remix he made with his son Akwaboah Jnr well represented in a music video featuring the two.
He is well known for his other songs including Odo Bra (W’akye3), Opintin, and Adesre among others.
Before his passing he battled with blindness, something he shared across the media how he lost his sight.
He will be remembered for his rich Ghanaian highlife which he presented throughout his career.
