The management of Accra’s Law Court Complex is worried about what it describes as “improper waste disposal” at the facility and has warned users to abstain from the act and utilize proper waste disposal methods.
Management noted in a circular signed by the Court Manager that the facility’s sewer pipes had been clogged with foreign materials. According to management, these foreign materials included used condoms and sanitary pads.
“In recent times we have experienced blockages in our sewage lines as a result of the improper disposal of waste. Sachet water bags, used sanitary towels wrapped in polythene bags, used condoms, used paper hand towels were all found in the sewage lines”
As a result, management has informed the public that it is improper to dispose of the aforementioned waste in that way.
Please keep in mind that these things must be disposed of in the dustbins supplied in the restrooms.
Additionally, management encouraged, “Let us all work together to maintain the Law Court Complex clean and safe.”
