The University of Cape Coast is set to confer Honorary Doctor of Laws, LLD (Honoris Causa) on Osabrima Kwesi Atta II, the Paramount Chief of Oguaa Traditional Area.
In a statement issued and signed by the Director, Directorate of Public Affairs, Major Kofi Baah-Bentum (Rtd), the university said it recognizes the Paramount Chief’s role in promoting peace, unity and development in UCC, Central Region, Ghana and the Global Community.

“His peaceful persona, coupled with his dispute resolution skills has indeed contributed to peace in Cape Coast” part of the statement read.
The award ceremony will be held at 11am on Thursday April 11, 2024 at the School of Graduate Studies of the university of Cape Coast.
