The School of Agriculture of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has commended ATL FM’s flagship agricultural programme, Bribisronko, dubbed “Time with UCC School of Agriculture”, for its impactful role in promoting agricultural education at the university.
The commendation follows a record-breaking admission figure recorded by the School of Agriculture for the 2025/2026 academic year, the highest since the school was established.
Speaking on the Saturday morning edition of the programme, the Head of the Department of Animal Science, Prof. Julius Kofi Hagan, disclosed that the school has admitted an unprecedented number of students for the 2025/2026 academic year.

He attributed the achievement largely to sustained public education, visibility, and engagement created through ATL FM’s Bribisronko programme.
Prof. Hagan particularly praised ATL FM and the veteran host, Mr. Kofi Konadu, for the professional and consistent handling of the programme, noting that it has helped demystify agricultural studies, correct misconceptions, and highlight career opportunities within the sector.
According to him, the programme has become a reliable platform that connects academia with the general public, prospective students, and parents, thereby influencing informed choices about tertiary education in agriculture.
He encouraged the ATLFM station to sustain the initiative, describing it as a critical media-academic partnership that supports national development through agriculture.
The Bribisronko programme airs every Saturday morning on ATL FM, focusing on agricultural education, innovation, research, and policy issues, with experts from the University of Cape Coast and beyond.
