The University of Cape Coast has elected a new leadership for the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Mr. Kwame Ntiamoah Ntim and Ms. Deborah Gyamfuah, running on the ticket of Ntim Fraternity, have been officially declared President and Vice President-elect of the SRC.
The announcement was made by the Dean of Students, Professor Daniel Apaak, during the official declaration of results broadcast live on ATL FM and TVUCC.
Out of a total valid votes cast of 13,613, Ntim Fraternity secured 7,354 votes, representing 54% to emerge victorious in a closely contested race involving four aspirant teams.
Mr. Jehoshaphat Yaw Inkoom and Ms. Regina Adenyo came in second with 5,037 votes representing 37% of the votes while the remaining two teams, led by
Mr. Nicholas Kelvin Agboni and Mr. Abubakar Abdul-Quddous placed third and fourth respectively.
In other results, Miss Jemimah Elorm Ahiabor was elected SRC General Secretary with 8,290 votes, and Mr. Robert Opoku Donkor emerged as President of the Local NUGS with 7,715 votes.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Professor Kwasi Opoku Boadu, congratulated all contestants and used the occasion to remind the new executives of their responsibility to serve students with integrity.
He further advised them to foster collaboration, not confrontation, with university management.
