In a compassionate act of support, the University of Cape Coast (UCC) BRETHREN Group, a philanthropic group composed of professionals, both in Ghana and abroad, on Saturday provided relief items to assist flood victims in the South Dayi and Asuogyaman constituencies.
Led by the South Dayi legislator, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, the group visited Tongor-Dzemeni along the Volta Lake, a place severely affected by the flooding, and presented the donations to the Member of Parliament for South Dayi and Asuogyaman, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor and Ampem Nyarko, respectively.
The donated items included food items, bedding, and clothes among others.
Expressing deep appreciation, Mr. Dafeamekpor conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the South Dayi community and called for blessings upon the generous donors.
The UCC BRETHREN Group, who are also former students of the University of Cape Coast is dedicated to community engagement, enhancement, and assisting those in need during distressing times.
Their philanthropic efforts are governed by a constitution and guidelines, and they have a history of aiding various causes and individuals.
