The Kasoa Ofaakor Circuit Court, presided over by His Worship Ebenezer Osei Darko, sentenced two Nigerian nationals to a total of 40 years in prison for robbery in broad daylight at Kasoa New Market Junction in the Central Region.
On Tuesday, May 17, it was reported that the Kasoa Divisional Police Command had apprehended two armed robbers after a Mobile Money vendor was robbed of GH11,800.
Bright Okwara and Ferdinand Obi, the two robbers, perpetrated the act after the victim had taken the money from a bank in Kasoa.

Detective Sargent Addai Boamah said in court that the two Nigerian nationals were on a motorcycle, monitoring the victim’s movements after he took the money from the bank.
The suspects followed the victim from Kasoa New Market to Market Junction, where they robbed him, according to Detective Boamah.
He said that even though the thieves were successful in robbing the victim, he pursued them with his motorcycle and crashed them, resulting to their arrest.
His Worship Ebenezer Osei Darko sentenced Bright Okwara 20 years and Ferdinand Obi also 20 years with hard labour.
Despite objections from the suspects’ attorneys, the court praised Detective Sergeant Addai Boamah.
Following the conclusion of the trial, the victim, Hassan Nuru Yaro, expressed his delight in receiving justice.
He also commended Detective Sergeant Addai Boamah and the judge, Ebenezer Osei Darko, for working hard to keep the suspects till the judgement day.
