Alan Kyerematen has resigned from his position as the Minister of Trade and Industry.
Multiple sources say he tendered his resignation to the presidency on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
It is however not clear the reason for this resignation but reports have it that he wants to focus on his presidential ambition.
The office of the President is also yet to respond to his resignation.
Alan Kyerematen popularly to known as “Alan Cash has since 2017 served as the Minister for Trade and Industry of the ruling NPP government.
In 2007, he attempted leadership of the NPP and captured 32.3% of votes cast to become the first runner-up to Nana Akufo-Addo who gained 47.96% of votes cast.
He however made similar attempts at the party’s leadership in 2010 and 2014 and still placed second to Akuffo-Addo who won the primaries in both instances.
