TikTok experienced technical issues on Monday night, including error messages on the web and problems loading comments.
The platform is now back online following a short outage that began around 11 PM ET. Users reported difficulties accessing the service and viewing video comments. While some videos loaded in TikTok’s mobile apps, features like comments and account switching were unreliable, leading some users to suspect their accounts might be banned. Attempts to access the TikTok website or support pages resulted in error messages.

TikTok has not publicly acknowledged the outage or its cause. Status pages for service providers like Akamai and Oracle did not indicate any widespread issues. Downdetector recorded 44,000 reports of problems before service was restored around midnight ET. Although the cause of the technical issues remains unclear, the platform was able to resume normal operations quickly.
