Threads is rolling out improved metrics to help users gain insights into their post performance and content discovery, the company announced on Tuesday.
Users can now access detailed information in the platform’s “Insights” dashboard. In the “Interactions” section, they can view engagement metrics such as likes, replies, quotes, and reposts. The “Followers” section provides data on follower growth, including geographic details like top cities and countries, as well as demographic information such as age range and gender.
Additionally, a new chart allows users to track changes in post performance over a seven- to 90-day period, showcasing trends in their content.
As eligible Threads posts can be recommended on Instagram and Facebook, users will now see where their content is being encountered, along with the percentage of views driven by each app.
The Meta-owned platform emphasizes that these updates aim to support creators in building audiences, expanding their presence, and understanding what content resonates with followers.

These enhancements come at a time when Threads is rapidly growing. Recent data from market intelligence provider Similarweb indicates that the platform is closing the gap with its top competitor, X, in terms of mobile app users.
In June 2025, Threads’ mobile app for iOS and Android recorded 115.1 million daily active users, marking a 127.8% increase year-over-year. In contrast, X had 132 million daily active users, with its year-over-year growth declining by 15.2%.
Equipping creators with additional tools aligns with Threads’ strategy to strengthen its position in the competitive social media landscape.
