Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has explained the reasons behind his numerous injury challenges since joining Arsenal in 2020.
Partey who turns 30 later this year had a reputation for being very durable and reliable while at Atletico Madrid. However, he has endured a frustrating and injury-plagued stint while in London.

Comparatively, Partey missed just seven games for Atletico in more than five years in the senior squad but has been unavailable for 39 Arsenal games with seven separate injury issues.
Speaking to football.london after scoring in Arsenal’s dramatic 3-2 win over Bournemouth last Saturday, Partey said there was one key factor behind the missed fixtures.
“Well, I think it’s adaption. If you go from a different league, normal things happen,” the midfielder said.
“I am working on everything, I am trying my best. I am trying to help the team any time I can. When I am ready and fit, I will be ready to help the team.”
