Ghanaian musician Mr. Drew has opened up about his concerns and fears regarding the music industry following the tragic death of Nigerian artist Mohbad.
Mohbad, a rising star in the Nigerian music scene, passed on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, leaving fans and fellow artists in shock.
The 27-year-old Mohbad gained widespread recognition for his hit track ‘Kpk (Ko Por Ke),’ which took the music world by storm in 2021.
While the exact cause of his death remains unknown, reports suggest that he had been dealing with personal and professional challenges.
One of Mohbad’s close friends and fellow musician, Bella Shmurda, revealed in a previous interview that the late artist had struggled with mental health issues during his time with Naira Marley’s record label.
He claimed this ultimately led to his departure from the label in 2022.

He posted an excerpt from his song ‘Case,’ along with a poignant caption that read, “We started this because we wanted to chase our passion and dreams, but it’s becoming more and more scary every day. It’s turned into negativity and despair. May God grant us light and peace.”
