In the wake of the recent Chef Smith Guinness World Record brouhaha, Entertainment pundit and journalist, MC Yaa Yeboah has intimated that Chef Smith must be punished.
Chef Ebenezer Smith, also known as Chef Smith, held a cooking marathon from February 1 to March 6, 2024, at the Amadia Shopping Centre in Spintex, Accra.
On July 2, he announced with great pride that he had set a new world record.
However, Guinness World Records (GWR) swiftly refuted his claim, stating that they had not received any application from Smith and that the certificate he presented was fraudulent.

The official record for the longest cooking marathon still belongs to Alan Fisher of Ireland.
Speaking on Peace FM’s entertainment review show, Mc Yaa Yeboah argued that Chef Smith would have taken the country for granted if the law doesn’t deal with him because he has allegedly scammed Ghanaians for long.
“Well meaning Ghanaians sacrificed their resources to ensure his cook-a-thon run smoothly so his life could change like that of Hilda Bacci from Nigeria, but unfortunately, the gentleman has scammed us for long. You stared your cook-a-thon from February and ended in March and took a nap knowing very well, you didn’t have any approval from the Guinness World Record” she intimated.

She alleged that Chef Smith had been gainfully employed as a chef at Osi Pub, a restaurant and pub at Agona Swedru.
She further went to also allege that Chef Smith was deliberate with his alleged scam plot, knowing very well that Amadia had allegedly spent close to three hundred thousand Ghana cedis including inviting artiste to perform.

“My personal investigations reveal that after the cook-a-thon, he has been gainfully employed as a chef at Osi Pub and restaurant at Agona Swedru. After benefiting from all the goodness of Amadia, from spending about 300,000 Ghana cedis on you and inviting A -list artiste, you go and sit down and ask yourself how do you scheme another scam”.
Mc Yaa Yeboah further mentioned that Chef Smith is not smart, because if he were smart, he would have come out to indicate that his cook-a-thon wasn’t successful, but rather had the courage to scam Ghanaians.
“Even if you had come out to declare that your attempt was not successful, we would have sympathized with you, and given you sponsorships and ambassadorial deals, but you sat down and decided to scam Ghanaians again. He has erred and apologized which we all accept, but the law must deal with him.
The exposure of Chef Smith’s false claim led to his arrest during a press conference, escalating the controversy. The Amadia Shopping Centre, which had sponsored his attempt, revealed they were unaware of the press conference and had only supported Smith based on his assurances.
The drama reached its peak when Chef Smith issued a tearful public apology, a moment that quickly went viral on social media.
